FAQs
Do you accept WCB, MVA or AHS?
We do not accept WCB or MVA (motor vehicle accident) claims and do not bill to AHS (Alberta Health Services).
To find nearby clinic options where you can access these services please follow the following links: WCB AHS
MVA: Reach out directly to physiotherapy clinics in your area to find a location accepting MVA claims.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. Physiotherapy is direct access and you do not need a referral. However, if you do have a referral for physiotherapy, please share that referral at or before your visit to communicate your physicians recommendations.
What should I wear?
Please wear or bring along clothes that can expose the area we are assessing. For backs, hips, knees and ankles, stretchy shorts are optimal. For shoulders, necks, elbows, a tank top or sports bra. For a running assessment, running clothes and shoes (multiple pairs is fine).
Can I submit your receipt to my extended health coverage for Acupuncture?
No. For insurance purposes, acupuncture and IMS performed by a physiotherapist fall under your Physiotherapy coverage.
Do you direct bill to extended health coverage plans?
I do not provide direct billing. You will receive an e-receipt after your appointment which you can submit to your extended health coverage provider.
Do you treat children?
My training and experience in physiotherapy is primarily with the adult population. On occasion I see patients as young as 12 for sports injuries and TMJD. Feel free to get in touch and I can make recommendations if I am not the right PT for the job!
